Experimental and numerical analysis of the pyrolysis dynamics of a single wood particle: presentation of the radiographic technique

Abstract Pyrolysis is an oxygen-free process for the thermal decomposition of raw materials. The heat conduction and flow pyrolysis products (i.e., gas fraction liquid vapour generated during pyrolysis) influence products. In this work, orientation wooden particle fibres with respect to direction source on dynamics was investigated, where there were two sizes oriented along or across source. novelty work lies in use a radiographic technique analysing fibres' degradation process. research showed that pyrolysis, mass loss rate particles different. A similar tendency characteristic drying single wood depends many factors—particle size, parameters, arrangement wood, etc. analysis presented publications based loss, which very large simplification. publication contains experimental mathematical calculations samples various different fibre arrangement. result determination trends regarding shape process, provides knowledge can be translated into industrial processes.
